Purpose: logs both numeric results and visual feedback (as .bmp files).

Mavis reports what it's doing to a log directory. You can specify the location of this directory in mavis.ini. In addition to logging numeric results, some mavis functions also store bitmap images in a log subdirectory. Both the numeric and bitmap log data can help backtrack what mavis did while it was running.

To keep log data from accumulating indefinitely, mavis deletes older log entries. You can specify how many run cycles mavis keeps. Bitmap data are overwritten each run cycle.
